Picture of Faculty Testing CalendarThe Testing Center administers window-of-opportunity, make-up, and special accommodation tests for UAMS faculty. We want to make scheduling tests as easy as possible, so we have placed our resources here on this page to make it easy for you to locate them.

Use the Request for Testing Form to schedule window-of-opportunity and make-up exams. Faculty scheduling exams for students needing special accommodations should use the Request for Special Testing Form.

The Faculty Agreement for Testing will help guide you through the rules that will help make your use of the Testing Center run smoothly. The Faculty Agreement for Special Testing is designed to assist faculty in scheduling special accommodation exams. Special accommodation tests are individually scheduled for a specific date and time, and the testing coordinators will work with you to meet your students’ testing needs.

Are the tests proctored?

No. Faculty should be aware that tests are administered by the Testing Center staff, but they are not proctored. Computers used for tests have monitoring software with webcams.

How much notice do you need to schedule a test?

One business day (24 hours) prior to the scheduled quiz/test date.

Can I schedule a test over the phone?

No. Instructors planning to use the Testing Center for quizzes or tests will need to submit an online Request for Testing or a Request for Special Testing to the Testing Center.

Can I make changes to scheduled tests over the phone?

Yes. Once you have submitted a test request form and have received a confirmation notice you may contact us with any changes over the phone.

Can I schedule more than one test for my course at a time?

Yes. Selecting Yes at Would you like to schedule an additional test for this course? will enable the next section to schedule another test.

How many testing computers are available?

Thirty-six computers, including 12 dedicated for special accommodation tests, are available for students, faculty and staff to take a variety of tests and quizzes.

What special accommodations are available in the Testing Center?

The Testing Center has 12 distraction reduced testing cubicles. We cannot provide distraction free or private rooms for special testing, only distraction reduced.

Do you really need a backup instructor's information? Why?

Yes. In the event we are unable to reach the Instructor. Backup contact at UAMS (must have instructor access to course) needs to include office phone number and additional number (home, cell, or pager).
